I've seem some kits that claim to connect via Bluetooth using all of factory controls any info if this works and if so downsides? Looking for something that doesn't involve extra clutter on dash. I have a Mini Cooper S. I plugged into the AUX under the dash. Then, I couldn't get the volume to work. Any suggestions. But the other owner put in a Clarion CX Sirius ready radio. But my display says "No tuner" when put on siriusxm. I don't get to choose 0,1,2 channels.
Do I have to buy the kit to make my car work with the new stereo?? We have a subscription. We think this unit should work well, transmitting via the existing FM. Is this true? I have a Ford F and have Sirius XM already but want to upgrade from the factory stereo to an aftermarket unit. So bought the car. Took it to our local radio place in Des Moines and its a no go. The car has no AUX port. The only way it would work is to use an FM transmitter which I've used before with sat radio in the old days and I would not like that quality. Alternatively we can stream off our Sirius iPhone app via BlueTooth , but that won't work when we are out of cell range that works nicely BTW.
