The person who performs the marriage ceremony is responsible for returning the marriage license to the County Clerk's Office within 30 days from the date of marriage. How to Get a Marriage License

Certified copies may be ordered from that county at any time. Each applicant must know and provide their Social Security Number. Applicants must wait 72 hours after license is issued before being married.

Where to Apply

The license is valid for 90 days. If either applicant is divorced less than 31 days, a certified copy of the divorce decree waiving the 31 day waiting period is required.
