Pros: We arrived and had no idea where or how to shuttle over as it was no where in the airport or on our paperwork. Called and waited for a half and hour for a shuttle. Arrived at Ace and was waited on by a David at the counter. Took us outside and showed us the car. It was a upgrade of what we had rented online. Asked him about it and he said well this is what I am going to put u in.. Don't worry about it. It was a black car. Car was flithy. Asked us to the car for damage in the dark.
We found a few dings and he said come on it's a and anything less then a quarter don't matter. Went inside and he had both my husband and I sign papers to decline insurance as we purchased our own. Stapled a card and paperwork together and we left as we already had been traveling since 5 am and had two more hours to drive to our destination we were tired and disgusted but had to go. Days later I looked at my credit card bill online.
He had changed me a upgrade x eights days. And also we were charged for the shuttle ride. I opened the stapled paperwork and sure enough he did. When we brought the car back it was someone different at the counter.
I told her I never asked for a upgrade. Why am I being charged for one? She told me basically.. To bad u agreed to it right here.

What this David did was lied to us and had us put our initial on something we thought was for declining insurance. Bottom line is.. He was to lazy to go out in the lot to get what we rented and gave us a car that someone just brought back. Previous people left paperwork in the glove box I will never rent a car from Ace ever again. Price was right.
Cons: It was a bit inconvenient waiting for pick up. We had a miscommunication and I had to call Ace three or four times before they picked me up, so I wasted half an hour at Jax Airport. With that, I chose to go down to a sedan. They were helpful with the switch and the car was in great shape.
Pros: Staff was very accommodating. When I arrived I realized that Ace was not actually located at the airport. I called and a shuttle was there in less than 10 minutes. Friendly, easy to work with, reasonable rates, nice car. Cons: Required to call for airport pick-up. Would have been nice information to have in advance. Cons: Didn't like the overwhelming smell of Febreaze in the car and made me wonder what stink they were trying to overcome. Best Value. Pros: This was my absolute best rental car experience, ever! Easy pickup and drop off and an outstanding value. Cons: We should have been told to call for the shuttle upon arrival at the airport.
Had to ask a friendly skycap. Cons: Car was smaller than booked; had only 4 seats and tiny trunk I booked a car for 5 passengers and 3 bags. Quick, painless. Cons: Picked up car at night. It was dark and I didn't know how to get out of parking area.

No one advised me on route to take. When I got in the car the radio was on super rap music, volume real loud. At first it startled me because I was not familiar with car and how to turn off music. While driving on highway car would jerk from side to side. Told girl at return about it and don't think she even made a note. Customer Service Poor. Cons: They charged me a smoking fine and we didn't smoke at all in the car. We'd had it on an island and the return person stated the sand in the console was ashes and the car smelled like smoke.
We explained that our luggage was in the car and has that odor, but he ignored and we were late for our flight. Followup has been horrible with no response from the company. Pros: The line to pick-up a car was extremely long with only one representative. When we finally got the car and went to start it, the service engine light went on. Agent on duty outside said it was probably ok to drive which I would not. Transferred cars two more times and not enough room to continue.
Cons: Effort could have been made to locate a car that would accommodate our needs as booked and pre-paid. Any caring for the customer's business would have been appreciated. Was told any adjustment had to be done after rental and upon return none was done.
