Trace the ip address of an email

IP addresses are displayed in the full header of an email message. Because open emails only show a partial header, you must locate and display the full header to find the sender's IP address. Right-click the header of the email message you want to research in the Windows Live Mail message list. A drop-down menu opens. Right-click the "Subject" header of the email you want to research in the Hotmail message list to open a drop-down menu.

Tracking the location of an IP address

When we traced the ip address we found that it matched up to mine. How would someone gain access to my IP address and how do we tract it to the original ip address. We still have the headers, what do we look for? How can i tell if an email that is sent to me will tell the sender of the email that i have opened it?

Actually it does the basic analysis of the headers and provide human-readable conclusions. It just much faster to analyze with the tool then read the headers in a plain format. It is very important. Kindly revert. All it means is that the senders computer or the mail server he sent through was set to the Taiwan time zone.
